I mean look at the political climate meetings…..All the mega wealthy going via their own private jets.
They don’t give a shit as long as they are comfortable.
Probably even that won’t be enough.
> Paris Marx
Left-wing socialist and guy who constantly calls for class war, claims solution to [insert problem] is class war.
This article isn’t worth the pixels it appears in, honestly. This is nothing more than “*Privatisation key to fixing all future problems* – CATO Institute”.
UK can’t do a damn thing to stop climate change. UK could go full carbon zero but wouldn’t do a thing seem as the other massive polluters just don’t care.
This is why people buying EVs thinking that they are doing their bit are just fighting a losing war. It’s like pissing on a massive forest fire.
I despise articles like this because it implies that normal people cannot do anything. Corporations are entities which react to consumer demand. If demand falls, they’ll make another product to meet that demand. A huge example is Coke as they are the largest producers of plastic in the entire world. If everyone stops buying plastic bottled drinks, they’re screwed but a lot of people won’t sacrifice their luxeries unless forced to – i.e 5p plastic bags
Voting is a another huge thing but young people barely vote which is why we never get progressive politicians in power wanting to tackle climate change as a priority.
Just try not to purge the middle class like last 10 times, k?
No you can’t stop climate change because it’s inevitable
> We Can’t Stop Climate Change Without Class War
We’ll get that, but the winner isn’t who you’d want.
Thing is, we’re *already* in a class war. And the other side is winning.

Any reporter who claims that population is not a major factor is mental as far as I’m concerned.
Yes 1st world countries are clearly doing more harm to the planet than 3rd world countries. But when the world population has risen from 2.5 billion in 1950, to just shy of 8 billion today, to simply dismiss population as not been a problem is incredibly dangerous.
r/unitedkingdom moment.
Technical it’s the “right” politicals that doesn’t believe in it so if they were gone then we could at least attempt to solve it
