Happy Sunday all! I’ve been up all night after having covid, and I’ve started working on I casual game I started previously, parodying the previous US presidency. What are you all up to for the day?

    I’m currently in a bit of a shitty health (physical and mental) period but working on both. Himself is doing mad over time right now which has me both very annoyed and understanding (left alone with a toddler for a literal 95%) for the last week and will be continuing until Wednesday.

    2 hours bed time took last night. Two hours of sitting on the floor next to his bed with pins and needles. However, a small victory is the kid has been waking every night for months between 11pm and 3am and coming into our bed. Last night he slept in his bed the whole night. Which meant of course I was waking the whole night checking the monitor. 🫠

    Edit: I will be in the company of a toddler who doesn’t understand personal space, or a break. There will be no cups of tea or anything other than a sip of water til he goes to bed tonight.

  4. Grand-uncle’s funeral was yesterday. He hung on with long covid for six months. Was in and out of hospital, fighting it all the while, then walked out into the yard on Tuesday last, fell and cracked his skull open and that’s what killed him. Brain bleed.

    The universe has a sick, sick sense of humour.

    I’m in an odd existential mood today. Y’know the ones where you question why any of this matters at all.

    We slave away at meaningless jobs for the bulk of our lives and only get to wind down when our bodies are too damaged and aged to enjoy any real quality of life. If we’re lucky, we’ll get 20 years of free time and arthritis – too old to do what we could have done in our thirties with that free time. It’s insane when you consider that most of us spend more time at our jobs than we do with our families.

    … I do like Lego Trump tho. Or is that minecraft Trump?
