
A crowd of about 4000 Nazi sympathizers, some with their children, protest outside Landsberg Prison, demanding amnesty for the hundreds of Nazi war criminals being held there. When Jewish people came to counter-protest, the crowd chanted Nazi-era slogans and attacked them (West Germany, 1951).

we forget the nazi insurgency that petsisted in the early occupation. i met a lot of guys who served as us mps im post ww2 germany. if we compare to iraq, the bader meinhof persisted until the 1970s.
