While in some countries the government needs to be hacked to have your data leaked here it is just a matter of incompetency or “technical error” https://delano.lu/article/data-of-20000-people-leaked-on. How can you sue the gov for this ?

  1. You can file a complaint with the CNPD. But unlike privaty companies, the state organisations can’t be fined by the CNPD. If your data is part of the leak, you can ask for compensation. They might reject and you need to go to court.

  2. A man of the parliament actually defended the leak by arguing that, although the data was available to the public, it was well hidden on their webpage. SMH
