Soaring prices drive basic pay down at record rate

  1. Minimum wage should be automatically indexed to CPI/inflation.

Otherwise you are giving the poorest in society a PAY CUT.

When we negotiated our contract to supply to the government they readily agreed to index it to CPI – because we spent so long negotiating that we don’t want to do the same thing again next year.

  2. I asked my work for a pay raise in line with what they advertised for the job (£11 – £15 hr) and they said no, the email was a professional worded version of ‘you’re lucky to have a job so shut up’

  3. I’m impressed by the headline.

The BBC are usually a bit too scared to openly state the facts like this. They usually go with something like, “6% rise in worker pay amid inflation worries”.

Maybe they think that Dorries is too distracted mourning Johnson to take vengeance this week?

  4. But the 1% are seeing record profits. Everything is alright in Tory’s eyes. Just work more hours all of us while the elites having another summer party to celebrate the extra money.
