Hey guys. When it comes to English, sometimes you guys are often the center of some jokes because of the whole Rally English meme but even when it comes to Americans of Finnish decent, they can have their own peculiarities with the English language.

In the US state of Michigan, there’s a region that is part of it that borders Wisconsin known as the Upper Peninsula, aka, The U.P. and lots of the people born and raised there, known as the Yoopers, are usually descended from Finnish immigrants and they are known for having a peculiar accent, which is often the center for many jokes as well and since these people are usually of Finnish blood, do you Finns think that the language strongly influence the “Yooper” accent well? For reference, here’s a video of some Yoopers discussing snowy weather in their homes, accents and all.
