>Alle weekdagen tussen 20u en 22u kan personeel gebruikmaken van de escortes.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Kind of fits in our new times where people don’t grow a skin anymore.
20 years ago you found needles and condoms strewn around the bushes on Simon Bolivar. Then they removed the Eastern maffias and now it’s north African gangs who sell weed. They give hopeless youth some money to sell there all day and have enforcers patrolling their corners. They even adapted to using the rent scooters to go around instead of walking.
So to some people this might sound bad because you’ve lived a cushioned life. But there is an understanding in these neighbourhoods. They know who you are and they will never touch you. You’re a civilian. If any of them do, they’re going to be dead in a ditch faster than you can call the police.
They don’t touch you. You don’t cause police to start a war. The gangs also don’t start anything with each other just for fun because it just means bad business for everyone. The police doesn’t even want to do anything because it’s just cheaper to have a patrol car pass by once in a while and if you spend a fuckton of money to move them out, they will just show up somewhere else but this time a lot more agitated.
Euuhj, I work in that building xD
Edit: Just checked with security, apparently this has been the case for 6 months already, but it got leaked, wasn’t supposed to be public :p
Anyway, in a few months everyone in the building will move, so is only for a bit longer

Or as in De Standaard: https://m.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20211007_95167228
Well I can agree. I hope that the security guard isnt’t as scared as the employee he is escorting.

Respect for BNPPF for taking such measures.
