Join a union.
Could listen to that fella all day he and Mick Lynch are such impressive speakers they both talk so much sense.
So many people, particularly conservatives, say unions shouldn’t be a thing. If anything I’d go the opposite route and say they should be required for all jobs.
Hes great. Fair play to him.
I am in love.
‘You will inconvenience people’. Media scum doing the bidding of their paymasters as usual by trying to turn neighbour against neighbour. The only way to get meaningful change these days, and strike fear into the hearts of the out of control unregulated capitalists who are destroying our world, is through a general strike.
Great to see this generation of UK trade union leaders standup and provide a voice to working people and take on media bias… because the so-called Labour Party are certainly not going to do it.
He’s not wrong
It really makes you realise how few and far between it is to hear honest working-class voices in the media.
It’s a cosy wee club between them and the government
Need more people like him
The was brilliant. Wasn’t side tracked by that lame anchor. I liked that he sounded like a East end gangster about to stab someone lol
It’s actually scary how biased the UK media are against unions, they don’t even try and hide it
Glad he didn’t take any of her shit.
Nice to hear actual working class boots on the ground left wing voices.
Not engaging in some culture war bollix actually talking about day to day working class struggles.
The vast majority of British people believe that the rail should be state owned. They’ve always felt this, but then they privatised in the 90s and kept in that way since then. If a demonstrable 80% of people feel a certain way, but the reality purposefully reflects the opposite of that, in favour of the profits of a few people, how on Earth can you consider yourself democratic?
He’s dead right. Living in the UK, train prices are ridiculous, and I still need to rely on them for work. A monthly ticket can easily be £200 or more.
I fully support their strike and wish them all the best.
People need to start ending these presenters jobs, They’re are a joke. Everyday workers are the people on fucking strike.
Things are going to ratchet up a notch when the energy shock hits this autumn/winter. If they don’t claw back some money from the corporations, there will be riots.
Corporations have become way too powerful. They have positioned themselves above law, morality and politics. It’s not defensible in any objective sense and that’s why the corporate media will prioritise the maligning of organised labour.
Presenter is so rude and clearly lacks knowledge.
Not the commonwealth games!
James Connolly would be proud!!
Very proud RMT member here. Eddie Dempsey and Mick Lynch are doing a fantastic job. They should firm a new workers union political party
He sounds like one of Brick Tops henchman
I’m in the UK and this lad and another bloke called Mike Lynch have been doing the rounds and are destroying government MP and lickspittle presenters all over the show. They’re magnificent. There’s a reckoning coming over here with this cost of living crisis. I can see there being a nationwide strike soon.
Mad how far we’ve come that politicians from big parties never speak like this anymore
