How on earth can a bunkbed in a shared dorm cost €79 for a night?

  1. That’s ridiculous. I understand there is demand but every hotel/hostel room type should be applied a rating and only that price point up to a max price should be allowed.

  2. It’s supply and demand. The government pays hotels to take on displaced people from Ukraine (who don’t even qualify for refugee status), then the hotels charge you what they like saying they have too few rooms.

  3. Jesus Christ in my younger days we used to book 7 or 8 beds in a hostel for a tenner a night in Dublin. Tried to do it for a gig we have in August and fucking hell it was 80 euro each. Absolute madness. Will be sitting in McDonnalds with coffee waiting for the first bus

  4. Looking at hotel prices, how the fuck are we still getting tourists coming here from abroad? It’s absolutely outrageous.

They must really, REALLY want to come to Ireland.
