Where is it exactly? And when? Today?
Am also nearby, was told it was at the waste management part of the facility. It was loud af here in Reusrath/Hitdorf
Suspected explosion at a waste management facility in Bürrig. Residents are advised to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and to keep the emergency phone lines free for genuine emergencies.
If you haven’t already done so, you should download either the Katwarn or the NINA app, which will alert you in cases like this.

Leverkusen and Mühlheim, Cologne as well as Niehl and Chorweiler should probably close their windows for a bit. Chemical waste facility. Better be safe than sorry.

RAW: A huge explosion at a chemical park in the western German city of Leverkusen sent a column of black smoke into the air, with officials urging residents to shelter indoors and close their windows.
Take a deep breath and enjoy your new super powers
Close your windows if you leave nearby
Another great example how NINA and the other warning apps have failed!
Even an “Entwarnung” would have been great and usefull information.
But this seems to be too much Neuland!
1 confirmed death, 4 people who worked still are missing and the peeps living there are not leaving their homes cuz of it. It was a chemical factory.
According to my family and the news living there the fire has beed extinguished.
Edit: Also according to the news.
Living in Dortmund and still we received a NINA alert that we should close windows and doors wow. 60km of Leverkusen
probably Bill Gates and his gang behind this /s
GET INSIDE! This sets free toxic gasses!
wow it looks pretty bad, where is it? what happened??
I was in Leverkusen and had the office window open at the time and the shockwave that came through it was strong enough to open my door, which was only slightly ajar.
kim jong un joined the chat 🤝
Bf who lives in Duisburg just told me about this and I think there is already a casualty 🙁
The effect of these chemicals could be really bad on the air.

I think I glow in the dark now.
Boom, that’s it 🤷♂️
RIP my friend lives there
It translates to: If you grow anything in the next 50years in your nearby garden and eat it – well – game over for you…
