How come that scumbag Garda didn’t get a long sentence like this ?

That’s a horrific story. Some truly evil people out there!
It feels weird seeing an actually substantial sentence being dished out for once.
I think I’m so used to “suspended sentence” being the MO that it’s nice to see a sentence with some teeth to it.
How does such evil exist? As we are used to paltry sentences in Ireland, it’s easy to look at these 18 years and be satisfied. But such a crime is a weightier offence in my view and isn’t far off murder and the life sentence that should result in. This is inhuman.
