I’m tracing my ancestry and I have a great grandfather who lived and married in Vienna in the 1890’s and I have found his marriage registry.
I am having a hard time reading the name of the mother of his wife (top name that is underlined). At first we thought it was Josefa, but as can be seen below it does not match the name. It is clear that the wife was Hungarian and we had a look for traditional Hungarian names, but nothing seems to match the writing on the register here. What is throwing me mostly is the letters after what appears to be a “Jo” as the line has the potential of being an f or a p. As pointed out by the arrows on the words below, the same spelling is present, so I was wondering if anyone here might recognise the place name (looks like one of the words ends in “hof” to me) and let me know as this will clarify what the name is.

Just wanted to add that clerks often used Latin writing (instead of Kurrent) to emphasize a name or place. This is the case here as well, and explains why the name Josefa looks differently. The one you underlined (Josefa Splawetz) is written in Kurrent, the one below (Josefa Zabiodski) is written in Latin (since it’s a new entry), just like Amalia Madry (on top).
As others already pointed out, Josefa Zabrodsky was born in Josefstadt (8th district of Vienna) to Josef Zabrodsky. The name of the mother is cut off in that picture.
