The fact this is being treated as a criminal case with a finite sentence and not a case on state custody of a potentially violent mentally ill person is just further proof about how inadequate the state’s mental health facilities are at all levels.
S/he should be kept in a secure forensic hospital for violent and mentally unstable offenders and treated there until s/he is deemed no longer a danger to society. If that is in 50 years… so be it. Don’t think we have those facilities in this country tho.
Weirdo, throw them in prison and throw away the key, nothing can fix those people.
