> In a report issued to the EU Council of Ministers, Frontex said it had deported 8,239 non-EU nationals in the first six months of 2021
6%. 8,239 is 6% of the asylum claimants that arrived in the EU in that time and that are, based on current asylum refusal rates (64%) in the EU, expected to receive deportation orders. 6%. Frontex will be required to raise those figures dramatically if the EU is to have a functional deportation system to counterbalance its charitable asylum system. Imagine the hysterics of the Guardian Editorial board were that to happen.
I fail to see the Guardians outrage.
Good
These are rookie numbers, you need to pump these numbers up
The “record” is quite a low number. This needs to be dramatically increased.
Yeah back to european countries.
Not outside.
Most of the deported are either non-EU european countries like Albania,Macedonia,Russia,Moldova, etc.
