  1. For all youse people out there: timber refers to forest products NOT including firewood. Firewood would be called wood, cordwood blah blah blah. When you say timber for firewood you’re basically saying I’m using this silk sheet as my washcloth and isn’t that a silly thought.

  2. Plenty of new products still said “West Germany” well into the mid-’90s – there was no urgent need to change the tooling for printing things like this, and some may say they wanted to make it clear their products weren’t being manufactured in East Germany.
