The headline could just read “Garda car spotted in Tyrone”.
We can always safely assume that every headline that ever will be written can have the words “DUP outrage as…” attached to the start.
I don’t get it. PSNI come south all the time, Gardai go north all the time. The issue with the PSNI coming south isn’t that they are a police force, it’s that they are armed and enter the country as a civilian.
They might as well get used to it….
> DUP outrage
I think outrage is DUP’s default setting, so nothing new to see here then
They should be glad it’s only a squad car.
One of theirs came across the border and is Garda Commissioner
They think that’s bad? We got stuck with Drew Harris ffs
Hardly like he was driving straight to the Shankill Road in Belfast to arrest someone. Seems like they came South from Donegal into Tyrone and probably went straight back into Donegal.
>Mr Devenney said locals told him the car was at least **two miles over the border**
>…
>”I can understand 100 yards or so when you realise you’re not in your own territory but to be almost near Castlederg town, **that’s a long way from the border.**”
So 2 miles is a long way now is it?
Christ it’s often really not obvious you’re over the border in the first place. Often the only clue is that the speed limits seem off and the signs aren’t in all caps with Irish.
You’d swear the gardai were banging on the door of Stormont screaming “Come out ye black and tans” the way he’s going on.
It’s not even two miles from the border to Castlederg, it’s 2km.
This “outrage” is likely over someone going “jesus did I cross the border there, ah I better find somewhere to turn round so”.
The DUP are bonkers.
I’m surprised the DUP could read or say the word Garda given their opposition to the Irish language act.
DUP outraged that a Catholic car spotted in Queens Country ;)))
