Are there credible predictions about upcoming food and energy shortages? Or is it scaremongering? And what might it look like for the average Irish household?

Basically, should I be panic buying jacks roll and pasta again?
I panic bought a load of booze at the beginning of the pandemic, and then drank it all immediately.
That was awesome.
not sure what the winter will look like but im buying 100 packets of aldi noodles, few tins of spam, 4 pack of dutch mold (not to drink, just to remind you things could always be worse) that going to keep me going
Supermarkets will use this as an opportunity to sell off all the over priced Gluten free products and other weird sh!t they have languishing in their stock rooms.
Start digging up the Green in your estate and plant the potatoes now.
This ain’t England, don’t worry. We are a net producer of food not like England
Gov met on emergency planning scenarios for this.
See a post from here back 2 months ago. People saying the same things but things are a bit worse now than in June.

I’m in England at the moment and the shelves are a bit sparse in some areas of the usual supermarkets. Just came back from Costco with my aunt though and there is no shortage there. I asked her was that normal and she said yes. She’s no idea why though.
We flattened the curve for two weeks! Believe nothing that say.
Start buying a bit extra each week and you’ll have food. If we lose power food in shops fridges will spoil. If there are fuel shortages then deliveries will be affected so less stock in shops.
Plan it have candles torches camping stove and wood for the fire too. A cooler box as well if it’s a cold winter you can keep some food in it outside in the shade and it will keep an even temperature and crows won’t get at it.
