As inflation approaches 10% in America now, it is interesting to look back to see the devastation that episodes of hyperinflation have caused. This is an opportunity to see why letting a State print money en masse always has harmful consequences for the people. The example of what happened in Germany with the Weimar Republic after the First World War is symptomatic of this.
I think it is anchored in our biological genetic history now, because of this.
For most, nearly all Germans fear, currently the most fear is the Inflation, not the war, energy crises or something else. It is only the inflation, so everyone get the money under the bed or on the bank account, because we think we needet this money in the next time, because all get expensiver very fast. So nobody buy something, if he is dont needed it anymore, the inside economy goes down. This will only change, if the inflation is banned, and with the work, or the not trust anymore in the EZB and the Euro, to get rip of the inflation fast, it will go at least till 2025, till the inflation and the people are back to normal.
Generational trauma that’s never been dealt with.
