Probably because people also think about the consequences of such a measure. Or simply lack of publicity.
There’s paternity leave of 10 days and parental leave of up to 6 months. Both of those leaves can be taken full or part time, and there’s the regular holiday allowance too.
So I think it’s just already good enough that people don’t care about more. There are other issues that are more pressing.
Current paternity leave of 10 days/2 work weeks is valuable, I find – it helps dad organise home with existing children while mom has an opportunity to catch breath after birth and get going with new baby.
If mom has longer health issues, there’s the option of conge social for dad.
What about people who adopt a puppy?
