  1. I doubt the soldier will read my comment, but that’s the least we can and should do. I hope he will be fine and reunited with his family when this whole mess is or over

  2. That’s always my argument when someone is complaining about Ukrainian refugees. We take them in so their fathers, husbands and sons can focus on fighting our common enemy. Not a big cost not to have your own blood spelt.

  3. Poland: “Were neighbors and brothers, sisters”

    Ukraine: “The best neighbors”

    Russia: ” >: [ “

  4. There is no better country to take Ukrainian refugees. We are right next to it, we are large enough to not get overwhelmed and language is similar enough that we can more or less communicate just by speaking slowly and clearly. So welcome and be safe.

  5. I have family in Poland & a spare house I inherited thatโ€™s vacant, so my family asked if we could house a Ukrainian Family for a couple years & thought it was the least I could do to help someone in need.

  6. It seems to me that hospitality is a core value of being Polish. To all the Polish people I know, it would be absolutely shameful not to take them in and treat them well. Polish people are good people ๐Ÿ’—

  7. I’ve seen estimates that Polish volunteers make up the majority of the foreign volunteers fighting in Ukraine.

  8. My father had some friends in Ukraine. They are all dead now.

  9. Thanks for all Polish people who support Ukrainians from the first day of the war ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ

  10. We are glad to have such heroic neighbours. This ist least that we can do. Sadly I can only give money for charity and bayraktars }:-)

  12. And people still hate on Poland for some odd reason. Itโ€™s an amazing country

  13. Taking care of Ukrainian women and children is nothing compared to the horrors the Ukrainian men are going through while defending their own soil from sick murderers. It’s the least we can do. Stay strong and safe soldiers. I wish you all a prompt reunion with your families.

  14. As an American Iโ€™ve never been so impressed with Poland. The country has honorably since this crisis began (which is why I joined this sub). Most Americans of my generation know of Poland as the red line Hitler crossed that started WW2. I think future generations will know Poland as the shield of Eastern Europe. As the bulwark upon which all smaller neighbors can rely on against their aggressor-Russia. Youโ€™ve got the 5th largest economy in Europe and the resilience of people who know what true Tyranny looks like. I feel bad for the Russians that fuck with you
