  1. So in the unlikely scenario a new (polluting) factory (that could drastically reduce pollution by investing in science) is not opened that will mean the farmers don’t have to reduce pollution??
    Because if at this point we are only allotted X amount of pollution I hope that overtime it still goes to 0. Stagnating growth now seems like a very stupid thing to do

  3. Should have read the article from VRT comparing the two a few months ago though.

    Nitrogen in general is not the big problem (I emphasise big, it’s definitely a problem). It’s nitrogen in high concentration, in protected or fragile nature that’s the big problem.

    Ineos is in a port and has high towers so the nitrogen dissipates in the air. Farmers, especially the ones who have to stop, are often located in or next to protected nature and don’t have fancy equipment to dissipate their nitrogen. Their nitrogen comes down to, or blows right into this nature.

    So hooray for public opinion, but a very easy answer for Demir. Which she already gave months ago btw.
