Old Nicosia in the North is depressing. The residential buildings are inhabited by very poor settlers and are falling apart. The area around the Ayasofya Mosque has some redevelopment and maintenance since it recieves EU funding but otherwise it’s a ghetto.
Sprawl due to nimby-ism, car dependancy and single family housing 🤢
