So the price of everything doubled sue to the war in the ukraine and the government brings in record money, utilities are record profits and they wont do anything about inflation, health, housing, homelessness or rents. What a corrupt shower of useless pricks.
Good stuff, now don’t get pressured into throwing it away.
Likely an inflationary reason for this surplus….
Still good to get it however, running a deficit during an inflationary period is a bad time for everybody.
“Cumulatively to the end of July, tax revenues of €43.5 billion were collected, which was €8.3 billion or 23.5% higher than over the same period last year”
It’s mad really.
If we done nothing with that 5bn and just left it. Aside it would pay for half the metro.
When we have this kind of tax growth is when we should be spending big on capital projects.
Although a lot will obviously be eaten up with reducing the cost of living in the budget, and increase in health spending etc.
Brilliant!
…all we need is another €395bn to pay down the national debt and we are sorted!
Watch for an announcement that this money need to go to developers to repair the shitshow they built before n will never be pursued to fix from their own full of politicians pockets
Proof tax rates should be cut
WooHoo, 5 billion worth of new house builds on the way!! Oh wait…..
So all those people saying lockdowns will ruin the economy and put us in debt were just talking out their ass like we thought?
The inflation across the western world and else where isn’t solely due to the pandemic its a combination of that, energy crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The question now is how is our government gonna fuck this up and give it all to the rich?
