There is no such thing as “research” in Romania.
That would mean giving power to someone without political connections.
Ghere are multiple ranges, and then theres an extra figure just for israel
Science and education is overall the whipping boy of the Latvian society. We recognize we need it and it’s good, but we do not want to fund it, we treat some scientists (recently – epidemiologists and sociologists) as being ideologically compromised – i.e. bad faith actors, and in general we just want to do shit cheaply without financing expensive educated people.
We all suffer from it, there is only suffering here. I am suffering.
