Lmao! Do what we say not what we do. Business as usual from this tory government. Difficult to fool the people but I guess labour won’t do better. We all depend so much from russian goodies! Petrol gas gold wheat and other commodities. So far the americans are really profiteering from this ukranian war. On all fronts! Political and economical ones. Well done
>Wait a minute, are we the baddies?
British companies do have a track record of sanction-busting and the government has a record of doing sweet fuck all until they’re forced to by media attention.
Wonder why it’s Putin’s Russia? Not just Russia?
They sell the narrative that business and political issues are separate. Which is frankly bollocks
This sounds like free oil to me.
Our financial sanctions are shite as well. Given the situation in Germany its starting to look like the Russians are going to win the economic war.
Like how our banks have been helping Russian oligarchs funnel money out of Russia until the last minute. Companies are not turning their backs on Russia, they are waiting for the conflict to blow over before starting up business again properly, while doing work on the side when possible. As soon as the conflict ends, multinational companies will be back working with Russia before the ink on the treaty is dry.
Sink the bastards!
Why is anyone surprised? We don’t have democracy, we have a puppet show for the public and the real decisions go forward the same way regardless. Be alive long enough and observe how much changes in real terms and you’ll see how the machine works: The more things change, the more things stay the same.
