  1. I mean, I’ve seen Asterix and Obelix have fish fights before. And /slap to slap someone with a trout (forel) back in the days on IRC channels was a thing. But since when is this a Belgian thing? 😄

    For example: Why does that guy have a paperclip as earring?

  5. Nothing Belgian. I know fish slapping from Monty Python, that’s about it.

    Also funny how the white guy gets a decent whack, but the black guy gets barely touched.

  11. The only game involving rock paper scissors and getting slapped with a fish is if you pronounce it “blad steen schaar” instead of “schaar steen papier”.

  17. Haha. We were in Brussels last month and a group of university students approached us. They asked us to play rock-paper-scissors for a scavenger hunt they were doing. I played and couldn’t lose (like, I tried to throw a hand because I felt bad for tying/winning every time and still couldn’t lose).

    That day I discovered my super power is playing rock-paper-scissors. I will try to use my power for good.

    (I’m glad I didn’t get slapped with a fish – wth)
