some combat trousers have strings at the bottom to tighten around ankles or boots.
Does anyone else remember [these](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/jmcAAOSwLPJgWyXN/s-l400.jpg) really baggy combats covered in strings from the early 2000s? I wanted a pair so badly but my Mam said I’d look like an eejit in them and refused to get them for me
They used to be worn when you would walk down red paved Grafton street and pop into Esat Digifone to top up your Nokia 3310, while listening to Samantha Mumba playing in all of the shops.
Those combats. Sometimes cargo coloured, sometimes bright blue, sometimes black, sometimes bright orange.
Bring back tearaway pants
Where is this for out of interest?
Military pants usually have strings at the bottom of the legs so you can blouse them over boots.
Call me old, but I believe they mean ‘Parachute/cargo Pants (with strings)’ Like the ones people used to wear in the 90s/00’s.
They had loads of strings hanging off them as though you would be attaching things to your legs.

Cargo trousers basically.
Combats are trousers like military fatigues, lots of pockets and ultra casual. The string probably refers to a drawstring at the waist?

• Apple bottom jeans
• Boots (with the fur)
• Baggy sweat pants
• Reeboks (with the straps)
Gards or Cadets?
Flashbacks of those UFO pants from the early 00’s
