Serious question, Why does the government have so many charities it pays to do it’s job, and not just do it themselves? And with the government funding them is that why we have so many NGO’s?

Another scandal on the way, are they laundering their money from their friends through charities now then. Joke.
Ffs, the fact that charities exist in this country to deliver housing is fucking abhorrent.
Charities and NGOs have a place, its in collecting funding for long term big projects like funding cures for diseases or helping to deliver aid in developing countries.
But to have a charity here providing housing, that 100% falls in the government’s remit. Every day that a group like that has to exist here is a further failing on the government’s part. Sure they can blame Brexit, Ukraine, Covid and supply chain issues etc but the thing is, they are the government, if they can’t deliver on the most basic of things like this, they should fucking resign.
