+353 (0)1 2819878 Birdwatch Ireland might be able to offer some advice.
Oh Lord. I have no idea ah but people gave some advice so I hope it turns out well! Babies! I even had dreams about Swallows last night so it’s strange.
I hope you find way to help them, and they’ll be OK. I’d like if you can reply here also on whatever happens with these smallbeans.
I think it’s really great you’ve gone to efforts and not ignored them.
>anyone know what I should do?
Don’t worry about it.
BBQ
Get a cat.
Shoebox, make up a nest and play mama bird for a few days. Probably won’t be able to raised by their own mama any more. Local birdwatch might be able to help. If the original location of the best is reachable, you could try place them back.
you can always let nature be nature
Get a shoe box or milk crate and stuff it with newspapers and dig up some earth worms and feed them.
So it turns out they are house martins ! I have been onto Kildare wildlife so a plan is in motion! Sadly no sign of the parents passing by!! I also have a burial to coordinate this evening after work for their fallen sibling!
Take them to a vet clinic. They’ll deal with it. They’re obligated too.
We had one drop last year in work, one of the lads brought them home and syringe fed them milk and blened up meal worms. He still has them in his Aviary with his Quails.
For anyone interested in an update… they’re in a new nest bought at the pet shop (with the remains of their old nest inside) and they were taking water but not food. Two birds (assuming they parents) kept swooping by so close to the new nest and seemed to me like they knew they were in there but frustratingly never stopped by. Praying they spot them this evening when they’re out doing their usual dance. They were so close it was really difficult to watch them swoop by and off again time and time again!
