2021 will be the first year in 10 years in which no new offshore wind projects are built in Germany. Wind is one of the most affordable forms of clean renewable energy and yet Germany has many rules, both at the national and state levels that hamper wind development.
Germany will never reach their climate commitments without building more wind or bringing back nuclear.

No, the FDP is going to hinder larger changes. The new government is a weak one just think about they were not able for the simple release of a tempolimit on the german Autobahn. That would’ve been an important, eeasy and very cheap symbol for a change overhere.
No, they have other lobby groups to to please.
I actually read somewhere on reddit that the new government has decided to reduce windspeeds. The storm last Tuesday in Hamburg reached 135km/h, which is way too much. Most probably they will set a limit at 50 km/h 🤪
Seriously, nobody really knows what they will decide. Germany will indeed probably not reach its targets and at some point will have to make some concessions.
Wind can be a solution but it is at the same time very difficult to deploy it heavily, except at sea.
Lets wait an see but i indeed really doubt that the government will decide something very strong on that matter.
