Quite intrigued as to what a capitalist solution to the climate crisis looks like.
I predict a lot of deposits are going to be lost by these guys.
Is this likely to draw votes away from Conservatives or Labour I wonder.
Who are the worst on the climate in parliament?
Off the top of my head there is Steve Baker, also Rees-Mogg. Any others?
That’s it….water down the Tory vote…keep going
i forsee a lot more EV Bentley’s in the house of commons car park.
Obviously they won’t be winning any seats, but hopefully this will put pressure on the Conservative Party to come back from the brink of insanity on the climate.
Farage’s happy band of [fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists](https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2006/apr/04/conservatives.uk) didn’t win a single seat in Parliament (unless you count Tory MPs who defected to join them), but they were able to get enough votes away from the Conservative Party to pressure them into carrying out the most harmful act imaginable against this country.
Maybe these guys can do something similar but push them in a positive direction!
Hopefully they understand how government spending works
I quite like this as an ex green party member. Split some votes off the Tory party, make the environment an issue the Tories have to take seriously once they realise it’s a vote loser and perhaps even force the more eccentric elements of the green movement to consider how they present their ideas (although that’s a long shot.)
Good, the problem with the “left” is it is fractured by so many parties making it lose in a lot of FPTP elections. The “right” is far more united. A little division will help even the odds.
First I’ve heard of these, what’s the verdict? are they good guys or bad guys?
So they’re copying Australia’s teal independents?
Never trust a centre right party on climate change; remember Cameron’s dabbling with green toryism back in 2010. He quietly rowed back as his donors had quiet words in his lug hole.
Their manifesto wants careful study if and when they release it.
