  1. Things are objectively worse in the North in so many ways, but you get nothing like the level of bitching that you get in /r/ireland.

  2. /r/northernireland is pretty awful. If you vote for Alliance or favour reformist constitutional nationalist SDLP politics then the hive-mind will deem you as acceptable, but everything outside of that is regarded as wrong thought.

  4. r/Ireland is dominated by a self appointed priesthood that think *they know* what “the Irish view” should be.

    When someone points out it sucks here, has a different or nuanced take of any kind, their comments get downvoted off the page. What you are left with is a drab collection of chicken fillet roll content that is uncontroversial.

    It’s not a place for discussion essentially, its a place for the Priestly caste, and chicken fillet roll memes.
