UK’s 40°C heatwave was made 10 times more likely by climate change, Met Office says

  1. Meanwhile climate change isn’t apparently affecting Ireland at all as our high temperature record has stood since 1887.

  2. 40 degrees C, should not have been reached this early in the model. If it occurs again next year, we’re already in the end game of Climate acceleration. I’m sorry kids.

  3. I think other countries have to realise we basically done have AC, our homes stay warm due yo our insulation built to trap heat and our clothes are more likely to be for mild weather.
So its 40 degrees in less than optimal situations to handle it

  4. Yet people dismiss the problem because it did not last that long. It did not last long this year but it will in the future and we have still had a very dry year regardless, which is having a huge impact on crops. This sort of climate change is going to make our food situation even more precarious, that is serious news for a country that is so reliant on imports to feed itself.

  5. Met office said “thousands will die”.
Met Office lost their minds over a heat wave.
There is no known scientific formula to forecast likelyhood of climate change or iterations thereof.
    Met Office Guesstimate.
