Hey people of Romania,
Me and my gf will need to get to a wedding to Carastelec (near to Suplacu de Barcău or Zilah) from Budapest on Saturday morning so we are planning to travel there on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately the driver who could bring us right there by car canceled the trip so right now im looking for new alternatives.
I check both the bus and the train schedules but non of them would be feasible for us due to 10+ hours of travels or the pretty late arrival time (something around 1am to Oradea is the closests).
Is there any other travelling option in Romania that i could not find via Google? Some alternatives like Oszkár or Blablacar car-sharing here at Hungary…

edit: Thank you guys for the advices!!! We are already here at Carastelec thanks to u/doomsayer2022 ‘s pro tip and Europop. It was quite cheap, 8 hours ride here at a comfy minivan with AC 🙂

How about taking the bus 7 PM from Budapest to Zillah, arriving 2 AM in Zillah and having someone (maybe some friends or relatives of the bride/groom) from Zillah to Carastelec by car?

Rent a car from Budapest airport? That’s the easiest and fastest alternative as you are going in a very rural area
