Checked with a friend whose parents work for Defensie and live locally. They know the pilot in question. Apparently there can be excessive noise if the pilot uses his afterburners in a certain way which is something that he’s been known to do.
Whilst on the one hand the base has been there for ages, I also wonder how long the manège has been there. I remember going there as a kid.
