we got 1 coal mine thanks to the hertiage railway market needing it for their demand.
And theres still plenty of coal in the ground from all the old mines.
Trouble is in 2018 the UK Government ordered all remaining coal-fired power stations to close by 2025 as part of its carbon emission reduction strategy.
Warned about this happening years ago, yet here we are…
Smart decision but why not just use coal? far more reliable than this green crap.
No one going to answer? Solar and wind are not as reliable as coal. So why should we use unreliable energy sources when we have plenty right beneath our feet. Would help cut energy costs as well instead of importing it.
Is this the pastime Brexiters boomers were longing for? Strikes and power outages?
Don’t worry, no one will be able to afford it so we won’t need the extra demand.
