Tories are really asking for general strike or sabotage arn’t they?
Funny, correct me if I’m wrong but I could swear Shapp’s has a financial interest somewhere in this as well. He keeps veto’ing
Then we will walk out illegally.
This is an unbelievably fascist move.
BBC:”Every union worker down with covid, country grinds to a halt”
Union workers:”Damn shame but what can you do”?
Shapps couldn’t dismantle a Lego set!
The Tories have gone full mask-off fascist and are attempting to shut down every avenue for democracy;
– trying to make strikes illegal
– making protest illegal
– gerrymandering council regions
– Voter ID for disenfranchisement
– blocking FPTP reform
– trying to remove the Human Rights Act
– trying to remove any and every protection for workers, citizens, the poor, protected minority classes, the list goes on
I’m not being facetious when I say a General Strike is only part-way up the list in terms of the seriousness of action we should be taking here.
It is not hyperbole to say we are considerably less free today than we were a year ago today, or two years ago, or three. This will only continue if we do not act to stop it.
But don’t strikes make the country look ridiculous and dysfunctional?
Get these evil toffs out asap!! Cruel, evil little cnut.
I’m frequently disappointed by people who see the difficulties caused by essential workers striking and blame them, not the economic system and the bastards at the top who have led to the moment.
Strikes and industrial action are inconvenient for everyone. It really sucks. But why are the unions and the workers the ones who are demonized for standing up for themselves? If the strikes are as awful and misery inducing (as a news reporter said a few days bavk) as people say then why isn’t everyone blaming the company and government side when they are blatantly taking the piss and have been for years?
No one wants people to be inconvenienced or have their lives made harder but st what point are things bad enough that then the british public are willing to agree ‘okay, maybe it’s alright for you to stand up for yourselves’ if not now? How bad does it have to get?
