I recently found the only known surviving photo of my great grandpa Jack Allenback. He was the 1st American born Swiss in my family. His father, Charles Edouard Allenbach immigrated from Le Chaux de Fonds, NE in 1906 through Ellis Island and ended his journey in Marion County, Oregon. US census records state his occupation was a farmer.
I had my dad and I take MyHeritage DNA tests since I’ve found most of the names, dates, and immigration information from that site. Both of our tests are currently being extracted and analyzed. His mom’s dad Jack passed away before she was born and all of her birth records have her step dad listed instead of him and I am currently gathering DNA evidence to petition to change the vital records for accuracy reasons.
If anyone knows of any resources from that area or for that era I could use to locate the area his family lived in, especially since I know his siblings stayed behind in Swizerland, that would be most helpful.

I accidently deleted the wrong picture since it told me gallery photos weren’t allowed here. The pic here is of Jack’s younger sister Edna, his mother Henrietta Davis, and his father, Swiss immigrant Charles Edouard Allenbach.
