    Info about the Chess Olympiad:

The Chess Olympiad is a biennial chess tournament for teams representing a chess federation affiliated with FIDE, the international chess federation.

Most teams consist of five players, but only four play during matches. For this reason, teams are seeded by the average rating of the four top players.

Held with the [Swiss system](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss-system_tournament) over 11 rounds, the competition consists of four players of a team facing four players of another team on their respective boards. Players of each team are fielded in a prefixed order (first board, second board, third board, fourth board and reserve board) submitted before the start of the event.

In each match, the team scoring the most wins (board points: 1 point for a win, half-point for a draw, 0 for a loss) wins the match and gets 2 match points; the losing team gets 0 match points. If two teams tie their match, they each get 1 match point.

The final rankings are decided by match points.
