I’ve seen so many women drop out of work, reduce their hours or their ambitions because simple workplace adjustments weren’t provided to help them with menopause symptoms. If it were counted as a protected characteristic like pregnancy it could make a real difference
It’s shocking how awful it can be for many women and how little it’s been talked about until relatively recently. All I knew as a woman was about the hot flushes, not all the other things it can cause
That would be nice.
I suspect it would be one hell of an uphill battle to get any recognition for it.
Not just menopause, periods too. They can be really debilitating.
