Hi, Latvian here. I was just wondering how good was Lauris Reinks’ Estonian here? Did he have a noticeable accent?

1. The beginning phone call has to be an Estonian dub.

   Otherwise I am personally very impressed with his pronunciation. Some light accent.

   Didn’t know about that artist before.

2. It is very good. Some very slight inconsistencies if I listen carefully, but casually hearing, it passes for a native speaker.

5. It’s quite good, when I first heard it when it released I was sure it was some new estonian singer or whatever, took me years to find out lauris is Latvian and sang it in so many languages ( though latvian and estonian sound the best ).
   If i remember right lauris doesn’t even speak estonian that well, just singing in it is easy for him.

6. Estonians have a stronger accent in Estonian movies

7. The phonecall part is dubbed, but when singing he passes as a native speaker. Latvians who speak Estonians don’t usually have a big accent, I guess the phonology is similar.
