Aren’t people always saying there’s not enough and that’s why they can’t catch everyone?
Gardaí really are an absolute shower.
I know a few lads from my hometown that became guards and they’re absolute wankers. Including one detective that frequents the local escorts for free in exchange for looking the other way.
Didn’t they not want GPS radios or body cameras because they didn’t want to be tracked or have their bosses know when they take an early lunch?
I’m assuming the taxpayer also paid for the fuel for this.
Why wasnt it towed and fined like any other car.
Let the garda pay the fine and a week suspension with no pay.
Things like this should be pretty quick to punish in a functioning environment.
Absolute madlads.
Driving? I didn’t know pigs could fly!
Ah sure the taxpayer wil pick up the tab. Civil servants smh
They must have been senior no way would someone high ranking not notice a missing Garda car. Imagine someone in Dublin Bus taking a bus and leaving it. I’m more worried the level of intelligence of a detective I assume that actually thought this was a good idea. Like at least leave it in the Garda station. I hope too someone goes over the claims these folks have made over the years, say that be interesting
Sounds like they just lobbed it up on a kerb somewhere the lazy bastards. If they even bothered throwing it in the long term parking they would have got away with it. If only it wasn’t for those pesky meddling airport staff
>When contacted, garda headquarters declined to comment.
Wait a minute, how is declining to comment allowed? They are a state run organisation. They owe the public comment, even if it is just to say that an official investigation has been launched. Surely they have a PR officer who can come up with a short statement?
Company car sure!
Perk of the job.
Seen a Garda road traffic jeep and driver sitting in a housing estate just north of Galway city, he was there for a few hours, looked to be on his phone.
Strange
How does an “abandoned” vehicle remain “outside” the airport fir a couple of days? Is security at Dublin that shit?
Isn’t this a perk of the job?
How was the holiday?
I don’t know why these things surprise Irish people; it’s as if they’re not aware of what these guys have always been like.
