About as trust worthy as an anglo Irish bank balance sheet
It’s not too bad for accuracy. As soon as it’s live youll get leaflets in the door or sales calls or whatever.
As someone who has worked in telecoms for years the NBI rollout has been very impressive and the only thing slowing it down is lack of people to install the infrastructure.
I tried 3 different addresses.
One in city centre, one in parkwest, one in crumlin
None of them came up as an area that is being considered for 5g coverage.
Based off that screenshot, they are actually building out the network in your area. Like physically laying the fibre, etc. I think the date should be pretty accurate
It’s usually accurate.
should be good to within 6 months or so. I. e, based on that I’d expect to see availability before the halfway point of 2023. probably earlier.
When I was at the network build in progress stage the connection date said May to July 2022. I got connected on 01 June. So it was accurate for me anyway
Probably by May.
Timeline was pretty accurate for us. Initially was down for December 21 – March 22, but Covid fucked that a bit and the estimate changed to March – May 22.
Got connected in the last week of May. Over 500Mbps speeds now, happy days.
You’ll start getting salespeople a few weeks before it goes live and then it’s all dependent on when they can get people out to your house to install it.
There’s a decent chance you’ll have it before Christmas
Not great, I’ve been watching my address for a while. My address has been pushed back three times already.
But it might just have bad luck.
Have you looked into an external 4G antenna and router? 4G+ speeds are pretty good these days if you have coverage.
Check your local bb provider and give them the business for a few years. Pre order with them and you might get free installation too. Fuck Vodafone and Eir. If all else fails, go with Digiweb.
