She is a US puppet. Our country needs China more than China needs us. We should work on better relationships. If she cares so much about human rights and democracy she should work on protecting both in EU. Poland, Hungary, soon Italy. The EU isn’t the brightest star either. And our relationship with the USA is very fragile. The next republican president could be the finale nail in the coffin. I don’t understand why our politicians are blindly supporting the USA and ignoring the issues.
I expect the Greens to be less then worthless in the foreign ministry position. Like VDL in defense.
> DER SPIEGEL: Are we in a new Cold War with Russia and China?
> Baerbock: I don’t believe in simply applying old categories to new geopolitical developments.
How about a Chill War?
Yeah, just what the world needs. A bunch of hippies that are more concerned about labels than war. We’re screwed.
Sie kommt ja auch aus dem Völkerrecht.
The statement in and of itself seems fairly reasonable. It’s not quite the same as the “old” Cold War, after all. And she goes on to acknowledge the “systemic” rivalry with authoritarian powers. Can’t say this is triggering alarm bells for me.
