Hi!
Can I fly a drone under 250g recreationally in Croatia without a license?
I’ve red multiple articles about it and I’m quite confused now. I thought it’ll be best to ask and clarify it a little.
Thanks in advance!

If no one see you and doesnt report, you can ! Welcome to croatia hehehhe
By law, I think everytime you want to take a flight you have to “book in” your flight to the AMC portal in Croatia. There is something about your drone manafactuer unabling you to lift your drone if you are located near an air traffic area.
But if you fly for a short amount a time, or high enough so that nobody hears it. It is ok imo.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Probably. Just don’t get caught. Legally owning and flying a drone in Croatia is an actual fucking nightmare. We’ve had several dozen threads about it on the subreddit over the years and all the experienced drone users seem to be in agreement that it’s virtually impossible to legally fly your drone. Getting a license itself is a herculean task that isn’t helped in the slightest by the weight of Croatian bureaucracy and in addition to that – even with a license you’d still have to report each and every flight to like 2 or 3 different institutions.
So yeah… just bring your drone, fly it in remote areas and hope you don’t get caught. If you do, pay the fine and be done with it. Welcome to Croatia, the heat is a subtle nod that living with this bureaucracy is literal hell on Earth.
