This is a good thing in the sense that it prevents the issue coming to a head, again, but it doesn’t solve the underlying issue in that the ECJ’s view of its own competencies remains different to that of member states. Realistically the only thing that’ll actually put it to bed is treaty change that actually recognises the ECJ’s position (or that overturns it I suppose, but I can’t quite see how the EU functions in that context).
