If people are alright with Tax Money going to RTÉ instead like this proposal is doing then fair enough. From what I’ve seen most people hate the idea of taxes for broadcasting funds even more than the fee.
Is he setting it up to privatise the assets to his investment banker puppeteers?
If RTÉ was as popular and well-loved as they claim themselves to be, would they need to threaten people with imprisonment for failing to give enough of their wages to them?
You don’t see Sky Sports, or Spotify, or Big Tits Monthly Magazine asking for special laws to put people in prison if they don’t subscribe with sufficient enthusiasm.
