Ready to be educated here but i think it is not a tounge twister. In each individual context an american would just say economics because they are talking about that area, the language program takes this simplification but when you compound three discreet terms the simplification goes haywire
Well, it might be wacky at the moment but there is no doubt that translation software will become insanely good. I guess, as long as you are constantly connected to the internet you are good.
I’d translate it as “economics (also national economics, economic political sciences or social economics, in short econ) is a branch of economic sciences”.
“Macroeconomics (a. k. a. national economics, economic governance, or social economics; acronym: VWL) is a branch of economics.”

* “**Wirtschaftliche Staatswissenschaften**” means “Economic Governmental sciences”.

I translated by copying doc file the later i translated same words but from pdf, they both give different result. Which is bizarre becoz only the file type is changed but the content is same??

As an economist, I find this really annoying in German language (am both a native German and English speaker, but have studied economics only in English). Part of the confusion is that in German, business studies (entirely distinct from economics) is called (Betriebswirtschaftslehre, BWL) and economics is called ‘Volkwirtschaftslehre, VWL’. So just saying ‘Wirtschaft’ or ‘Wirtschaftslehre’ (literally, economy or economic studies) could be construed to include business studies.
That also makes it really hard when I’m trying to talk about microeconomics. Micro is very different from business studies, but VWL definitely carries a connotation of macroeconomics. So I’m not even sure how to refer to microeconomics in German, without referring to business studies.
