And where the feck are we supposed to house them? Like really, bloody really? Bloody neo liberalism capitalism.
Housing crisis sorted 😂😂
Country is gone
Where are they supposed to live
And a disproportionately high number will move to Dublin.
Manufactured wage suppression during a cost of living crisis coupled with a total disregard for the current housing situation.
Bravo
I just can’t wait to see the number of posts asking where is a good area to live in Dublin, how much salary is enough to live in Dublin, and then finally when they arrive why the rent is so high and does someone have a room to rent them.
Jokes aside – The government needs to put a pause on whatever migration it can control until building catches up. We probably don’t even have hotel rooms for these people given the situation with the war, and it’s unfair and embarrassing to encourage any more inward migration at the moment.
Many workers are figuring out there are no houses and competition is ridiculous for ones that do come up.
I know of doctors the HSE has hired from abroad unable to get accomodation after months of trying .
Boom?
Hopefully they start approving them faster, last person I hired that required a work permit it took 335 days to get it issued.
We need immigration to keep the economy going, but can’t sustain a lot for now with how bad the housing crisis is.
