Just look for a group of sheep herded tightly together in the middle of a field.
Is he fixed? Our border collie Skipper used to go on his “holidays” once or twice a year when there was a lady in heat in the vicinity. It wasn’t unusual to find him miles away after several days, though he usually came home on his own accord.

Leave him alone. He looks happy out. He probably escaped.
